Got home a little while ago. Surgery went well. I actually got in a little early. The little old man before ate oatmeal this morning. He told them they were operating on his had not his tummy. they moved him to the last time this afternoon. We went to get something to eat afterward. I was really hungry since I couldn’t have anything to eat after midnight. There is some pain but not as much as I expected. Probably hurt worse tonight and tomorrow. I do have darvocet. Took one a little bit ago but don’t really want to take them if I don’t have to. Ashley, McKenzie and Jenn have their dance recital tonight so want to be able to go to that. If it doesn’t hurt any worse thann it does not, I should be good to go. I was really nervous this morning but don’t think I will be as bad next week since I now know what it is like.
Glad that everything went well. I’m surprised that you are able to type. I’m wondering sometimes if I am developing something like that because sometimes when I overdo with weed pulling, computer use (mouse), etc. I have had some numbness in my hand.
What kind of dance recital?
Actually, yesterday when I did that the numbing was not gone. Todat it is a lot of hunt and peck. Jenn, Ashley and McKenzie took dance lessons at one of the dance studios here. Ashley and McKenzie took clogging, Jenn did hip hop. They all did really well. I was really proud of them. A little more pain in my hand today. Trying to keep working the fingers so that they dont get stiff. Tom says this will probably be the worst day. Hope he is right!

I think the reason you can’t eat has something to do with the anaesthesia – not with what they are operating on.
